So it’s not the greatest picture, but it was the greatest moment. Last week my blog friend, Natalie, who writes about parenting with empathy over at Talk Feeleez, was passing through the very southwestern corner of Colorado on her way back to Montana from New Mexico. Durango wasn’t exactly on her way, but she, her husband, their 3 daughters and 1 dog, in a heroically generous move, backtracked east to come spend some time at the tupperware heights homestead.
The first thing Natalie said was, “the thing you just don’t get reading blogs is how cute someone’s voice is,” after Col peered at her approaching gang and squeaked “who are you?”
We had a great time, all the assorted kids, parents and animals, snacking and laughing and chatting and hugging, and I missed them all approximately 2 minutes after they left.
Score 1 for technology and the internet weaving threads between our lives and cinching us closer.
Anyone else had the opportunity to meet a blog-life friend?
Hoping… soon!
no way! that is so much fun! an internet friend may come stay in our house while we travel this summer, but i’ll not see her! are col and rosie doing turtle lake on thursdays? della went yesterday and had a blast.
LOVE this rachel.
i have connected with online friends and it has always been super-awesome!!
this was the first time “someone i met on the internet slept on my couch”…

So very cool. I think that technology here in blog land can be a great friendship assist, and to take it over to “real” life and actually meet in person only solidifies it more. Hope you guys are enjoying your summer out there.

I have connected with two blogger friends, one lives around the corner from me (really!) and another is in North Carolina. Such fun!
I have not met an Internet friend IRL, though I am screwing up my courage to do so. But I’m so darn shy!
Happy weekend!
Awesome :). It is so nice to join written thoughts to faces and voices!! I have met one so far and now maybe another. Have a great weekend!
I live on the east coast, read both your and Natalie’s blogs, and felt kind of a mind bend when I first saw that photo. “hey… isn’t that… natalie?” So cool, so weird, so trippy. It’s like your two blogs met each other.
I’ve been out of online loop for a bit and it’s fun to catch up with you and your stead.
Ack! I love this. What a treat to see people I know in real life meeting you, who I know in online life. Isn’t it the best?! The few people I’ve “met” have way exceeded my expectations. Such a sweet photo. I really just LOVE it.

next week in nyc! what if we have nothing to talk about? i doubt it, though.
Oh how wonderful! I have plans for meeting blog friends but haven’t had the chance to follow through just yet. I hope to soon!
