I love these kind of moments when all are together– silent, yet joyfully busy :). Happy weekending!!
can you send of that sunshine east please?
thank you!!
Erin – that was earlier in the week. It’s been SNOWING for the past 2 days. Col and a friend had a SNOWBALL FIGHT yesterday on May 19th.
Now that’s the way to craft. Your babes are serious.
i love moments when we’re all together and quietly creating. have a great weekend!
sweet sunny moment.
Oh, the bliss of making!
is this what they mean when they refer to “domestic bliss”?
For a full ten minutes at least…
A marker basket. Genius. Then they don’t have to dump out Every. Single. One. to find the color they’re looking for.
Oooh! What are you sewing next?
I’m sewing a series of skirts for Rose. Everyday I ask “do you want to wear one of the new skirts I sewed for you, Rose?” And she says, “nope. I’m going to wear a dress, Mama.”
And I say in my head: okay, another chance to practice non-attachment, waa-waa-waa.
yay for family creative time! what’s that yer sewin’?
So nice! I love those moments; I had one yesterday with my 6yr old; we were sitting on the kitchen floor in an embrace watching the cupcakes rise in the oven. I just wanted to hold onto that moment forever…
glad you are still sewing. Clearly it’s time to learn dressmaking. Judy can teach you everything you will need to know! she’s an ace seamstress of course. xoxo
It doesn’t get a whole lot better than art, togetherness, and sunshine. Happy weekend, Rachel!
you give me hope! can I really look forward to this in a couple of years? Avi keeps talking about when he is 5 (and 7 and then he jumped to 13 and 14, which freaked me out just to imagine) and “baby” is 3, etc . . .just around the corner, I’m afraid . . .
We took a long urban walk together today and I’m loving Berkeley more and more; walked back down Prince from Telegraph and thought of you!
Avi was wearing a dress and Rosie’s flip flops and earned many smiles from local folk (:
