{This Moment}

This Moment:  A Friday ritual. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. via Soulemama

    oh good gosh. take my breath away.

    let me guess…the view from your local grocery store? the dry cleaners? the gas station around the corner from your house?

    seems like everything in durango comes with a million dollar view. :-)

    ps ~ inspired by you i sent my son to a birthday party last week with a dozen eggs and a small sampler of maple syrup as a present — it was a highly popular gift!!!

    and yesterday i procured some surplus tires from the gas station up the road for planting potatoes and stopped on the side of the road to pick up some wood to make a sign for our new egg stand. surpluses meeting needs…love it!

    still haven’t found a BSA yet — not done looking though. ;-)

      Yay Erin! Viva la revolution!

      (that picture was taken about 10 minutes from my house. Ahhhhh)

      ps: Rose brought another plant-gift to a 4-year old girl’s bday party recently. I was feeling sheepish as the birthday girl opened trillions of brand new princessy presents, but later her mom e-mailed me to say her daughter wouldn’t stop talking about the plant!

    Lovely! Lovely!

    I’ve been wanting to teach myself the names of different types of clouds. And these are (I think) cirrus uncinus — mares’ tails. (I looked it up.) (Generally, I do not care for Latinate names, but the names of clouds are just lovely.)

    Happy weekend!

    Ooooooh, so striking against the texture and color of the sky and the rocks!
    I am glad to learn they’re called “mares tails”.
    It’s funny as I was driving yesterday I got a shot of these same clouds- only from the far east side of Durango. My camera couldn’t ‘pan’ the sky, so I think I got a different part of the horse though. LOL

    Love the wordless day thru pictures idea!
