Love it!
Have you read Farm City by Novella Carpenter? If not, I think you’d really like it. I had no idea up until reading it what you could feed chickens, pigs, etc. Ew and Yay at the same time. :)
Happy Weekend!
I just reserved it at the library last week, Katie!
So good to see Col up and about. And, lovely chicken photo. Their feathers are beautiful.
Yay, Col!
loving those pants, col!
Kendra, I too love that Col can grab a pair of Rose’s flowered pants and sling ’em on without a thought.
oh, i bet you are thrilled to see him up and out and active! :)
Col back to work: best four words I’ve heard all day!
Your kids have an awesome fashion sense.
So, basically, chickens are garbage disposals? I wonder if my building would let me toss a couple under the sink then? ;)
Chicken eat jello?
Hey, Col, hello!
FYI: chickens are the great omnivores. They seem to have preferences (macaroni and cheese, corn on the cob, deer fat) but they generally do a beautiful job of converting kitchen scraps to edible protein (eggs) and a quickly usable soil amendment (manure).
i’d love to be digging in the sun at the moment!
Never underestimate the power of love. Hooray for Col!
Your chickens and children are beautiful! I never really thought chickens were beautiful but I never knew they ate table scraps either! I always thought your kids were beautiful tho.
Glad Col’s feeling well enough to get out into the garden! I am getting more and more convinced that we need to get chickens, asap!
I meant to comment on your last post, but think I forgot. Anyway, someone mentioned Col’s pants. YEAH! My favorite bit about Col is the way he unabashedly dons satin skirts, pink boa-like scarves and flower-power pants. If I have a boy, I totally want him to be like Col.
Oh, good. Convalescence over and you’ve got your child laborer back.
