This Moment and Giveaway winner
Waa waa waa. You guys are such nice people. I read every single one of your Blog-o-versary comments (twice) and my heart’s all fluttery and my eyes misty and I just had to collar my ego before it dashed out the door naked and carrying a bullhorn because, unlike Dan, I’m not all even-keel. But I am all tired out because Dan’s away again (work training this time), but the kids are being so weirdly decent and sweet. Tonight Col made sure all the chickens were in the coop while I covered the garden and then he hefted huge rocks to barricade the skunk entryway, mostly so happy to learn the new word “barricade.” And yesterday, Rose went upstairs to get herself a rain jacket, and without being asked, brought one out for Col too, which made my heart swell like a little cherry tomato in the sun.
Random.org picked #16, which is Nici @ Dig This Chick, who of course I adore and is anything really random anyway? Send me your address Nici, and I will send off your package of goodies.
And , my moment of the week, via Soulemama, to savor.

Have a wonderful, wonderful first weekend of fall.
holy cuteness mama! what a sweet-pea!
Made me laugh. Beautiful!
A picture of perfection.
And boo to losing all the goodies to someone else but happy for her that she is able to enjoy some of your harvest. Albeit begrudgingly. ;-)
Fun! Charming! What a cute kid, how’d you get so lucky? Happy Blog-aversary, Love U, 2 special, Danny-Hub

Nothing better than a happy kid with a chicken :) I wanted to share this little news blurb from Montana with you – just in case you have run out of uses for zucchini…
