Look at the gorgeous eggs. Our neighbors have 12 chickens and a rooster. I love going in to their coop and finding a nice warm egg to cradle in my hands.

    I miss having fresh eggs!

Man, those eggs look divine. Good job, girls!

My husband builds machines for a local factory with free range chicken farms, and our perk is that we get free eggs! Yummy! Have you enjoyed those yet? My husband makes the best omelets for our family, and we love it when he does!

Hi Rachel, Your picture of the girls was great. I have always thought I would like chickens. Hope Col stays well. Love your blog. Kathy

It’s so funny! Mine don’t like it when I take their eggs. I think one in particular is very broody!

Kyndale, Mine don’t like it either. In fact, they’d like to eat their own eggs. “That’s non-attachment,” a friend remarked when she saw the hens lapping up egg yolk after Rose dropped a just-gathered egg on the ground.

It looks like they’re saying “better give me back those eggs bitch.” :) There’s nothing like fresh eggs, I guess even chickens know that!
